HUST’s 65th anniversary: Strategic cooperation on a special day

15th Oct 2021 marked the 65th anniversary of Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST), which is also the turning point for the cooperation between HUST and our strategic partners.

On this special day, HUST and The Vietnam National Coal -Mineral Industries Group (Vinacomin) signed a Memorandum of Understanding which emphasized a commitment from both sides to cooperation on scientific research, technology transfer and high-quality human resource training.

Mr. Dang Thanh Hai - President & CEO of Vinacomin emphasized: “We have recruited many generations of HUST’s graduates who are the core human resources to develop new industries for the country.”

Vinacomin set up a plan for "innovation of structure and management with an aim to improve operational efficiency", choosing the strategy of "developing diversified businesses based on coal operation" and the policy of "growing with customers and partners".

Meanwhile, HUST maintains innovations for becoming the leading regional research university in engineering, science and technology and a model of comprehensive autonomous university with sustainable development, making significant contributions to society and Vietnam higher education. “University – Industry (U-I) collaboration is a key strategy of Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) in recent years. Vinacomin is one of the leading groups in Vietnam in the field of power supply that HUST would like to expand comprehensive and deep cooperation” stated Assoc. Prof. Huynh Quyet Thang - President of HUST.

Also at the signing ceremony, both sides expressed the firm belief in effective cooperation and strong potential in the upcoming time.
