“I really appreciate the dedication of the alumni here to the University,” Associate Professor. Huynh Quyet Thang, President of Hanoi University of Science and Technology shared at the Launching Ceremony. He expressed the hope that the UK Alumni Chapter, with its core of scientists and researchers from major UK universities and organizations, would actively engage in collaborative research with the University, co-supervise graduate students, and exchange knowledge and latest research results with Vietnamese researchers through international seminars and conferences.
The event was attended by distinguished guests, including Deputy Minister Hoang Minh Son, former President of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, and Ambassador Nguyen Hoang Long, Vietnamese Ambassador to the UK.
Before, during a working session at the Vietnamese Embassy in the UK, Associate Professor Huynh Quyet Thang, representing the UK-Vietnam Higher Education Network (UK-VN HEP), signed a tripartite cooperation agreement with the British Council and the Vietnamese Intellectual Society in the UK and Ireland (VIS). This agreement focuses on continued collaboration in capacity building for Vietnam's early career researchers and doctoral training through Project 89. The event garnered representation from Global Wales and local universities in Wales, showcasing the launch of the Global Wales cooperation initiative and strengthening the partnership between Vietnam and Wales in the field of education.
