List of awardees of Asahi Glass Foundation - HUST Research Grant 2020

The following HUST’s research projects are approved by Asahi Glass Foundation

  1. “Production of nanocellulose-coated paperboard from sugarcane bagasse for thefabrication of food and drink self biodegradable containers to replace single-useplastic items” - Dr. Nguyen Hoang Chung - Center for PolymerComposite and PaperTechnology, School ofChemical Engineering

  2. “Developing Metaheuristic Techniques for Solving Optimization Problems inTransportation for Post-Disaster Responses and Energy Savings” - Dr. Ha-Bang Ban - Computer Science, School of Informationand CommunicationTechnology

  3. “Synthesis of porous LaFeO3 with enhanced toxic gas sensing properties” - Dr. Phan Thi To Nga - Department of Organicand PetrochemicalTechnology, School of Chemical Engineering.

  4. “Synthesized and characterization of WO3 nanorod hybridization Gr application in environmental treatment” - Dr. Luu Thi Lan Anh - Optics and Optoelectronics, School of Engineering Physics

  5. “Development of a pneumatic artificial muscle based robotic orthosis for gait rehabilitation” - Dr. Dao Quy Thinh - Department of Industrial Automation, School of Electrical Engineering

  6. Study on Ability of Basic Oxygen Furnace Slag recycling in Pre-treatment process” - Dr. Nguyen Cao Son - Iron and Steel making, School of Materials Science and Engineering

The term of the project will be 1 year beginning June 2020.

Report:

(1) After  completion  of  the  project,  the  grant  recipient  will  submit  a  research  report  to  the  Foundation  prepared by following  a  specified  format,  and  the  submitted  papers  will  be published in the Report of Grant-Supported Research, The Asahi Glass Foundation, issued annually.

(2) Results of grant-supported research are to be published in scientific journals by grant recipients, acknowledgement should be included in the following way. This research was (partially) supported by the Asahi Glass Foundation.
