HUST co-hosted the 18th GMSARN Conference, fostering sustainable development in the Mekong Subregion

Hanoi University of Science and Technology, together with Asian Institute of Technology and the GMSARN Secretariat, recently organized the 18th GMSARN international conference focusing on "Smart Energy, Environment, and Sustainable Development in the Mekong Subregion" on November 16-17 in Hanoi. With the participation of nearly 100 scientists presenting 46 articles, the conference served as a vital platform for researchers to share insights and actively contribute to the sustainable development of the region.

From adversity to acclaim: The resilient journey of Assoc. Prof. Pham Minh Son, 2024 Young Innovator Award Recipient

In his formative years, Pham Minh Son navigated a challenging path, earning a livelihood by collecting trash, and discontinuing his education due to his family's financial downfall. However, upon his return, Pham Minh Son exhibited an unwavering determination to surpass academic expectations, securing numerous scholarships and ultimately being honored with the 2024 Young Innovator Award. Currently, Associate Professor Pham Minh Son is the Chairman of the Hanoi University of Science and Technology's Alumni UK Charter.

Staff capacity enhancement is one of the key objectives of Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) outlined in its 'Development Strategy for 2017-2025.'
