Associate Professor Huynh Quyet Thang, President of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, has affirmed that the transformation of HUST into a multi-disciplinary research university will fully harness the potential of collaboration with the UK. This strategic shift aims to establish robust international research groups for addressing global challenges.

Staff capacity enhancement is one of the key objectives of Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) outlined in its 'Development Strategy for 2017-2025.' As part of the "Enabling an Environment of Quality for International HE Partnerships between the UK and Vietnam - EQUIP" project, faculty and staff at HUST engaged in a two-day professional development training program from October 2-3. The training aimed to instill knowledge about quality processes aligning with international standards within the context of local culture.

On September 19, 2023, the Hanoi University of Science and Technology hosted the "UK-Vietnam International Workshop and Roundtable on the Net Zero Pollution Transition," in collaboration with Imperial College London. The event was a part of the UK/Vietnam Season program and received support from the British Council.
